Re-certification: ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management Systems
New: ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems
New: ISO 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Systems
What does this mean?
These certify Macrotec to international standards, that provide requirements and guidelines that ensure that materials, products, processes, and services are fit for their purpose.
These certifications enable and manage systems that ensure the Quality, Environmental, and Safety aspects are met, with audits done on a regular basis to ensure that Macrotec is compliant. This in turn gives our clients and other stakeholders insight into our business practices, and surety in our procedures.
Why do we want these certifications?
These three certifications form part of the critical internal requirements we have set ourselves; to improve the Quality of our products and services, our impact on the Environment, and the Health and Safety of our employees.
Quality – Macrotec strives to constantly improve the Quality of our products and services, whether in the form of improving workmanship, reducing errors or defects, or adding functionality and improving performance. Our Quality Management System provides guidelines in monitoring the performance of our goals, and the requirements for resolving any issues. Examples of our quality management system in practice is more stringent quality checks using electronic equipment to find any defects.
Environmental – Since our business is greatly involved in the safe disposal of hazardous wastes, and cleaning emissions, we have set high standards for ourselves to achieve the best environmental standards. We are currently running several projects to reduce energy consumption, at both our factory and for our products, and reducing emissions even further.
Health & Safety – The safety of our employees is paramount to us, as without them we are unable to function or exist. Thus we have increased the measures to improve safety, and have once again set ourselves a high standard to achieve and maintain. Health and Safety standards include PPE requirements, training, and operating procedures.
